At Whiskers 'N' Beans, we are dedicated to providing a critical patient animal ambulance service.
Our registered veterinary nurses are trained to handle emergencies efficiently.

Our ambulance is fully equipped and purpose-built for the safe and secure transportation of veterinary                    patients.

We understand that your pets are family, and we treat them with the utmost care.

We offer transfers from all London Veterinary practices between hospitals or referral centres, such as:

  • The Royal Veterinary College
  • The Ralph
  • Southfields Veterinary Specialists
  • North Downs Specialist Referrals

Please note, we do not offer owner transportation.

We act as a patient transferring agent only.

Given our line of work and varied transfer locations & times, we are generally unable to offer collection of deceased animals found roadside. Please contact your local council, RSPCA, Veterinary practice or local wildlife group to see if they can offer assistance.

Experienced Veterinary Team

Our team consists of experienced registered veterinary nurses ready to assist your pets.

Our qualifications enable us to travel                   independently, without the presence of a       veterinary surgeon.

We consult with the referring veterinary surgeon regarding plans and emergencies, enabling us to adhere to their treatment protocols until the intended referral destination is reached.

We can then administer life-saving medications during transit, if required.

Whenever possible, we also use our onboard navigation system to communicate with the referral destination, enabling them to track our location and receive patient updates.

24/7 Emergency Service

We are available around the clock to respond to animal emergencies.

Due to the nature and demand for our service, we cannot guarantee availability at time of calling.

Please bear this in mind when seeking transfer.

  • Portable Oxygen Cylinders
  • Endotracheal Tubes
  • Anaesthetic Oxygen Masks
  • Nasal Cannulas

** Please note, oxygen therapy is administered under the instruction and direction of the referring         veterinary team at pick up.

A UK First in Animal Emergency Care

We are proud to be the first animal ambulance service in the UK to offer onboard ventilator assistance for critically ill and injured patients.

In emergency situations, every breath matters. Mechanical ventilator support allows us to assist animals who are struggling to breathe on their own due to trauma, respiratory failure, neurological compromise, or during critical transfers to specialist veterinary care. By bringing advanced respiratory support directly into the ambulance, we can help stabilise patients earlier—when it matters most.

Our ventilator capability means we’re not just transporting critical patients; we’re actively supporting life during transit, working to maintain oxygenation and reduce the risk of further deterioration before arrival at the veterinary hospital.

What this means for our patients:

  • Advanced respiratory support during emergency transport
  • Improved stabilisation for critically unwell animals
  • A higher level of care for trauma, respiratory, and high-risk cases
  • Seamless transfer to veterinary teams with ongoing ventilatory support

This milestone reflects our commitment to continually raising the standard of animal emergency care in the UK. When seconds count, innovation, preparation, and compassion make the difference.

Critical patients deserve critical care—every step of the way.
