We are a type-1 APHA Critical Patient Ambulance Service.
Operated by two qualified Registered Veterinary Nurses, the first of it's kind in the UK.
Founded in 2024, by Ellie and Sarah, both registered veterinary nurses, we are a critical veterinary patient ambulance service, driven by a genuine desire to help those in need.
Our specially equipped ambulance is vital in ensuring our team can safely transport animals in need of urgent medical care to a hospital or specialist referral.
As registered veterinary nurses, we possess the expertise to provide critical medical assistance during transport.
Understanding the urgency of emergencies, we are dedicated to ensuring that your pet receives prompt and efficient care of the highest standard.
Sarah began her nursing career in 2011, gaining experience in both private sector practices and charitable organisations. Prior to pursuing her nursing qualifications, she dedicated several years to volunteering with animal charities and wildlife conservation groups.
Sarah is a dedicated feline nurse and holds the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM) Feline Nurse certificate. She is a strong advocate for fear-free practice, dedicated to promoting positive feline friendly attitude, and is committed to educating others on the improvement of welfare and a better understanding of cats.
Sarah has a background in shelter medicine nursing and has additional certificates in Dentistry and Nutrition.
Sarah has a special interest in feline neonatal intensive care having hand-reared and fostered hundreds of abandoned, rejected and critically ill kittens.
Ellie started working in practice when she was 17 years old as an animal carer at a local charity, and qualified as Veterinary Nurse in 2008 and has a multidisciplinary nursing background. For over 12 years, Ellie worked in a large 1st and 2nd opinion hospital as a dedicated Night Nurse and then gaining the Head Nurse title.
Ellie holds a certificate in Emergency and Critical Care nursing as well as an advanced diploma in Medical Nursing.
She has a keen interest in advanced feline imaging and has undertaken nurse courses in diagnostics and imaging.
Ellie is also a Suitably Qualified Person (SQP) and has undergone training to advise and prescribe certain types of veterinary medicines under the Veterinary Medicine Regulations.
Ellie has transitioned more into managerial roles of late and in 2023 gained a Leadership and Management certificate, however, she remains passionate about staying connected with her nursing skills and supporting the veterinary team.
If an animal is in need of critical care transportation, do not hesitate to reach out. Our team is ready to assist you 24/7.
